Kathryn Evans, LRSM, LTCL: Violin Teacher, Wellington A highly experienced professional violinist and teacher, originally from Christchurch, where she studied music at Canterbury University, Kathryn completed her musical education in Adelaide, studying with celebrated Australian violinist, Beryl Kimber. Then followed a move to Sydney, where, for over twenty years, she played as a principle first violin with The Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House. Since then, she has freelanced - doing studio work, playing in chamber groups and for shows - and has taught from beginners to diploma standard. Kathryn returned to live in New Zealand in 2001, moving to Wellington in 2004. She is first violin in Strings 'n' Things, Wellington's exciting new string ensemble and teaches privately from the studio in her home.
