OU Inline Hockey Reports

2001 Annual Report (Andrew Smith, Treasurer)

In its inaugural year, the Otago University Inline Hockey Club (OUIHC) saw strong growth, and surprisingly high interest. Thanks to the solid leadership of Daniel Jang, Leon Tabb, Kerry Perkins and myself, and a few others behind the scenes, the club was fortunate to acquire cheap equipment in the form of goals, sticks and pucks. Being able to provide equipment to the broad base of newcomers was seen as the top priority this year. Amongst the other goals achieved this year has to be the acquitions of goals, and affiliation to the OUSA. However, as fortunate as we all are, there is still some way to go, the club is now looking for a new indoor venue, with little success, and will have to keep working hard for next years Universtiy Games. Thank you to everyone that turned up, and gave it a go, the sponsors, and a special thanks to everyone who sacrificed their time and energy to help in the form of organisation, and knowledge.
