The environment centre will:

  • provide a venue for activities of affiliated groups
  • engender the translation of environmental interest into environmental activity.
Te Whenua Awhi logo

Whenua means place, earth and Awhi means to cherish, draw near to, to embrace. This name suggests support and nurturing which encompasses our philosophy.

We would also like to invite anyone to join with us in staffing this environment centre on a regular or irregular basis. The time can be a few hours or a half day, from 10am - 1pm and/or 1pm - 4pm. The shop is open from 10 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday. Please contact us for any information you need.
