Sold to Noumea in 1952 and wrecked New Hebrides on 6th May 1953. KAPONGA 1925 Steamer Wreck Book Built in England in 1925 of 1167 tons she sank on 27th May 1932 after stranding at the entrance to the Grey river, while leaving Greymouth with a cargo of coal. Sold in 1915 and left for Europe but was sunk by torpedo off Malta on 12 November 1916. KAROOLA 1909 Twin screw McIlwraith Co Plowman Built Belfast 1909 of 7,391 tons for the Sydney - Freemantle service. Very successful ship. Troopship and then hospital ship in WW1. Laid up Brisbane 1924. Sold to Singapore & broken up in 1936. KYARRA 1903 Twin Screw AUSN Plowman Built 1903 Dumbarton 6,953 tons sister to KANOWNA. WW1 Hospital ship, then troopship. Torpedoed S of Isle of Wight 26/5/1918 and sunk.
